FOR PURE ENJOYMENT

OF MICE AND MEN TIS SMALL THE WORLD .FOR SHAREING OF LIFE IS FINE AND DANDY .TOUGH ARE OUR DAYS AND COLD THE NITE. FOR EACH MOVES AMONG GENT'S AND DAME'S WHO SCURRY ABOUT WITH LITTLE REGARD FOR ANY THING BUT TO FEED OR MATE.IN THE HEAT OF WAR A SCALE CAN NOT MEASHER THE DIFFRENCE .FOR THE BLOOD IS HOT WITH AMBISHION AND PENDING VICTORY. THE PRIZE NOT SEEN OR FELT .FOR THE WIND OF WAR IS TO DEFEAT ALL WHO APOSE YOU AND TO AVOID THE CLOUD OF DESPIRE .SO AS IT GOES OF MICE AND MEN .......

  • THE SMELL OF FRESH RAIN .
  • THE SOFTNESS OF SPRING GRASS.
  • THE COOL TOUCH OF A SUMMER BREEZE
  • THE CLEAN LOOK OF FREASH SNOW
  • I HAVE SEEN THESE THINGS
  • I HAVE BUT TO LOOK INTO THE PAGES OF A BOOK .SO BOUND HERE BY WINTERS COLD I HAVE TRAVELED AROUND THE WORLD. PAGE BY PAGE I TRAVEL TO PLACES FAR AND WIDE .TO LOOK APON MOUTAINS A CAPED IN WINTERS SNOW.THESE THINGS I SEE NOT WITH MINE OWN EYES BUT OF ANOTHERS TO SEE WHAT THEY SAW .SAME MANY YEARS PAST AND BUT TO DREAM OF SUCH BEAUTY WILL BEFALL MY EYES. FOR MY MIND STILL SEE'S THE BRITE SPRING DAYS PLAYED OUT. TO SUMMER AND FALL WITH LEAVES GOLD AND FIRE RED. TURNNING THE HILLS A WASH OF SUNSET.TO WINTERS DAY BOLD AND CRISP THE DRYING OF THE AIR AS ITS INHALED CLEAN PURE UNTAINTED BY MAN. SO AS THE SEASONS COME TO A CLOSE MY MIND IS READY TO REPLAY THEM ALL OVER .FOR THE MIND NOWS NOT THE YEAR OR TIME BUT IS AS ONE WITH THE SEASON.

TO BAD IM NOT A BETTER WRITER FOR THE WORDS WOULD FLOW --MADDOG--SORRY

SHELTER

SHELTER is by far one of the top 3 things a person needs to know here are a few of my favorits----(sorry i had to post photos off internet will make these at home next time im there)

lash pole is one of the easyst to build it will keep ol mother nature at bay. note how the rafters are embeded into the ground with smaller limbs interweved with leaves throun on top. use of evergreens will help keep roof in place

next below is the lean to as you see very easy to buil takes about 30 min you can use your tarp to cover .evergreen brows on the floor will keep you toasty.

next is the pile thats what i call it no planning needed just pile a bunch of ground cover and wiggle into it use your pack to block entrence the tighter the better your body heat will keep you toasty try it with a large pile of leaves .

now you have the basics its totaly useless if you dont put it to use .Dont wait till you need the shelter go to the woods build all three at least once. now be sure to tear down afterwards be eco smart dont let outhers see your work keep the woods clean these shelters are 100% eco frendly:):):):) I will build all tree and take detailed photos. KNIFE/FIRSTAID

THE KNIFE (A SHARP PEICE OF METAL SHARPEND ON ONE SIDE WITH A HANDLE) SOUNDS SIMPLE THE BASIC OF A TOOL . ANY KNIFE WILL DO WRONG . THEY ARE NOT EQUEAL CHEAP IS CHEAP . NOW I NOT SAYING A CHEAP KNIFE IS NOT USEFULL IT FILLS A SMALL GAP. I MT SELF KEEP A CHEAP FOLDER IN THE SEMI WITH ME . I ALSO KEEP A LEATHERMAN AND A OLD TIMER WITH ME .FOR THE OLD SAYING IS TRUE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR . MY CHEAP FOLDER HAS A 4 IN BLADE THAT IS PART SERATION FINE FOR CUTING STRAPING AND APPLES NOT MUCH ELSE .

WE GO TO WALMART AND THEY HAVE WHAT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD FIXED BLADE KNIFE FOR $15.88 GOOD BUY . BUT IT WONT HOLD AN EDGE AND WILL MORE THAN LIKLY BREAK AFTER 1 WEEK IN THE FEILD AFTER HEAVY USE.

WE CAN GO TO THE SAME WALMART AND FOR $40.00 GET A TOP OF THE LINE BLADE WITH A NYLON SHEATH THE BUCK 119 SPECIAL GOOD GRIP ,STRONG BLADE , HOLDS A RAZOR EDGE ,COME OUT OF THE BOX READY TO SHAVE I HAVE HAD ONE FOR 15 YEARS.AND MY DAD HAS HAD HIS FOR 40 YEARS BOTH ARE STILL AS STRONG TO DAY AS THE DAY THEY CAME OUT OF THE BOX.
MY WIFE LIKES IT SO MUCH SHE WENT LAST THURSDAY AND GOT HER SELF ONE
AND THAT BRINGS ME TO THE SECOND PART . FIRST AID AND FIRST AID KITS. SO BEING THE GOOD PREPPER I HAVE BEEN PUTTING OFF GETTING A GOOD FIRST AID TOGETHER (BUMB ME) WELL MY DEAR WIFE DID A STUPID AND BROKE THE #1 RULE ABOUT KNIVES-(ALWAYS WORK AWAY FROM YOURSELF) AND RUN THAT BRAND NEW KNIFE ACROSS THE BACK OF HERE HAND!!(SHE WILL SEND A SWORN STATEMENT THAT THE KNIFE IS RAZOR SHARP RIGHT OUT OF BOX). NOW THERE SHE IS 10 MILES FROM TOWN AND ALL WE HAVE IS BAND AIDS NOT GOOD .WELL SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO NEED STITCHES AS IT HAD CUT ONE KNUCKLE TO THE BONE(OUCH) SO SHE HAD TO HAVE MY DAUGHTER DRIVE HER TO TOWN.When SHE GOT TO TOWN THE BLEEDING HAD ALL BUT STOPED SO SHE DECIDED IT WAS NOT AS BAD AS FIRST THOUGHT.SO WE AGREED TO BUY A FIRST AID KIT ON THE SPOT .SO OFF TO WAL-WORLD SHE WENT AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN WE NOW HAVE A GOOD BASIC FIRST ID KIT IN A CLEAR TOOL BOX W/TRAY. BE SURE TO INCLUDE ALUM(ITS A SPICE THAT WILL STOP BLEEDING AND CRAZZY GLUE WILL SEAL A WOUND IS NONTOXIC AND CLEAN
(COMES RIGHT OUT AS WOUND HEALS USED BY MYSELF TO CLOSE A NASTY GASH IN MY LEG ONE HUNTING TRIP ALSO USED BY MANY HOSPITALS) WE KEEP IT ON TOP OF THE GUN CASE .AND NEXT WEEK WILL ADD TO IT TILL IT FILLS A LARGE DAY PACK THEN IT WILL HANG W/OUR BOBS ON THE BEDROOM WALL .SO AS ALWAYS KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY--------MADDOG

GUN,GUN,GUN,GUNS

MY POST TODAY IS ONE THAT I HOLD DEAR TO MY HART GUNS I WHAT I WOULD CONSEDER A PROPER SETUP FOR THE AVREGE PREPER WITH A LITTLE SHOPING YOU COULD BUILD YOURSELF A NICE WARBAG. SO LETS COVER A FEW BASICS
  • THERE ARE 4 BASIC GUN DESIGNS.
  • THE PISTOL (HAS 2 SUB DESIGNS REVOLVER AND SEMIAUTO)
  • THE SHOTGUN(5 SUB DESIGNS SINGLE SHOT,SEMI AUTO,PUMP ,DOUBLE BARREL AND BOLT ACTION)
  • RIFLE (6 DESIGNS SEMI AUTO,PUMP,FULL AUTO,BOLT ACTION LEVER ACTION AND SINGLE SHOT)
  • AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST IS THE BLACK POWDER (3 DESIGNS RIFLE,PISTOLAND SHOTGUN)

NOW THAT SEAMS ALOT TO TAKE IN BUT YOU MUST COVER THE BASICS FIRST.

NOW LETS COVER WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU .THERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO TAKE INTO CONCERDITION IN THIS AREA AND THEY ARE .

  • HAVE YOU EVER HELD OR SHOT A GUN?
  • HAVE YOU HAD ANY TRAINING ?
  • IN THE RELM OF GUNS SIZE DOES MATTER.
  • IS YOU SPOUSE ON BOARD WITH YOU IN LEARNING TO SHOOT?
  • WHAT CAN YOU AFORD?

I PREFER PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED A GUN AS THEY HAVE NO BAD HABBITS .WE ALL HAVE A FEW .THE ONE RULE I HAVE IS FIREARM SAFTEY.YOU HOLD A GREAT RESSONABLY IN YOUR HANDS . A GUN IS A TOOL NOT A TOY SO TREAT IT AS SUCH. AND THE LAWS OF FIREARM SAFTEY ARE-----------

  1. TREAT EVERY FIREARM AS IF IS LOADED!!!
  2. NEVER POINT A FIREARM AT YOURSELF OR OUTHERS!!!
  3. IF SOMEONE HANDS YOU A GUN REFERE TO RULE ONE!!!!!!!!!!
  4. NEVER TOUCH ANUTHERS FIREARM AS IT MIGHT BE LOADED!!!!!!!
  5. NEVER CLIMB OVER A FENCE WHILE HOLDING A FIREARM!!!!!!!!
  6. ALWAYS KEEP YOU MUZZLE IN A SAFE DIRECTION!!!
  7. KNOW YOUR WEAPON!!
  8. KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. NEVER NEVER NEVER SHOOT WHAT YOU CANT SEE!!!!!(ONLY A FOOL WOULD SHOOT AT WHAT HE/SHE CANT SEE!!)
  10. KNOW WHAT IS BEHIND YOUR TARGET !!!

ALL FIREARM ACCEDENTS RESULT FROM BREAKING ONE OF THE ABOVE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------------------

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT OWNED A FIREARM BEFORE SEEK OUT A TRAINED INSTRUCTOR AND GET TRAINING ASK HIM IF YOU CAN RENT A FEW OF HIS GUNS TO START TO SEE WHAT SUITS YOU BEST HE WILL ALMOST ALWAYS AGREE AND WILL MEET YOU AT THE RANGE.

NOW YOU HAVE YOUR FIREARMS YOU HAVE TRAINING YOU ARE ALMOST READY. NOW GO TO THE RANGE AND SHOOT SHOOT ALOT UNTILL YOU ARE 100 PERCENT CONFADENT IN YOURSELF AND YOUR FIREARM.YOU ARE NOW READY TO DEFEND YOURSELF.SO BE SAFE AND KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY---MADDOG
