It's amazing to me that one of the Web sites I visit regularly for news has links to British newspapers. Is it because our media doesn't cover these stories? Here's one example. Click here to read a British paper's observations on preppers.

Please, before you get excited about anything the U.K. Guardian prints, you should find out about their political leanings (socialist!) and ask WHY? they publish articles about Americans. The rest of the world has a growing dislike for Americans. The Guardian has hardly been favorable. Be wise.
And actually, there have been a growing number of items appearing in American media about preppers. Jim Rawles and Kathy Harrison are two among many the media have sought out. One a little more nuts and bolts, the other a little more housewifey -- and they both are needed. If we can get over the elite stars of the broadcast media who think they should keep us informed for our own good (according to their socialist leanings), then we can turn to the Internet where there is certainly a large prepper presence. You are media, too, right?
Thanks Anon....I think media itself is starting to wake up to the fact that government is not the end all solution to our problems. I think they are starting to realize that when the SHTF even their livelihood will be in jeopardy as well. As long as we keep the extremist and racist elements out of the movement, then there is no valid argument against getting prepared. It's an easy argument to win. Let's keep the loonies out and then we won't fall victim to the same criticisms that the survivalists have.
