BUILDING YOUR OWN KNIFE

I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR A TIME TO GIVE MYSELF A REST BUT ALL IS WELL.
MY LATEST PROJECT HAS BEEN TO BUILD MYSELF A KNIFE. AND I'M COMING RIGHT ALONG . IT HAS BEEN A LOT OF WORK LOOKS PRETTY SIMPLE ON THE YOUTUBE VIDS.
I STARTED OFF WITH A PIECE OF METAL 11 TO 12 INCHES LONG AND SHAPED IT WITH MY GRINDER( ROUGH SHAPE ONLY NO EDGE) TILL I GOT THE SHAPE I WANTED. NOW I'M USING A FILE TO PUT THE EDGE ON IT AND REFINE THE SHAPE . I'LL TELL YOU ONE THING IT HAS BEEN ALOT OF WORK. I HAVE ABOUT 8 HRS IN IT NOW AND WILL STILL REQUIRE AT LEAST ANOTHER 16 + HRS TO FINISH IT UP . I STILL HAVE NOT CHOOSE WHAT TYPE OF WOOD TO USE ON THE HANDLE BUT I HAVE TIME . AFTER I FINISH THIS ONE I WILL BUILD 10 SIMPLE BUT GOOD TRADE KNIVES W/ 550 HANDLES FROM SAW BLADES . LEFT MY PHOTOS AT HOME WIFE IS GOING TO EMAIL THEM TO ME LATER TODAY SO LOOK FOR PHOTOS LATER.( EARLY TO BED EARLY TO RISE PREP LIKE HELL AND LOOK VERY WISE) MADDOG
